My Story
ʻOHANA
This is my ʻOhana. I was born and raised on the North shore of Oahu. Growing up, my family and I spent most of our free time at the beach surfing together. They raised my sister and I in the waves. They taught us everything they knew in and out of the water. I am forever grateful and so blessed to have them as my ʻOhana.
My ʻOhana has supported me in my passion for surfing since day one and it was surreal to be crowned the 1st woman PIPELINE champion 2x with my whole family by my side. I didn't win, WE won.
Prior to my surfing accomplishments, my family deeply influenced my academic endeavors. I am proud to say I am the first person to graduate from the University of Hawaii-West Oahu with the major of "Applied science in Hawaiian and indigenous health and healing".
Surf Club
A few years ago my sister gave me the idea that I should start a surf club. I decided that was a great idea! Since then I have found so much joy and love mentoring the next generation of surfer girls from my community. My club is built upon respect, being humble, Hawaiian culture and of course having fun!

Abby spends her days walking along the pristine beaches, gathering shells that the tides have lovingly shaped and polished. With meticulous care, she transforms these treasures of the sea into stunning shell jewelry, each piece infused with the spirit of her island home. Her work celebrates the beauty of the Pacific and honors the traditions of her ancestors, crafting wearable art that tells the story of the ocean and its timeless elegance.
Abby is not only a gifted artisan but also a devoted wife and mother to two energetic boys. When she’s not crafting exquisite shell jewelry, she’s fully immersed in the joys and challenges of family life, creating a warm and loving home for her husband and children. Whether she’s playing with her boys on the beach, preparing a delicious meal, or simply sharing quiet moments with her family, Abby’s heart is always centered on the people she loves. Her dedication to both her craft and her family reflects the balance of passion and nurturing that defines her vibrant life on her island home.
